Eyes experienced the primal sensation experiencing overwhelming brightness never seen before followed by an alarming roar after being blinded by the intense luminescence powering through to intake my first breath of life. Joining countless souls boldly affirming my being around 4:03am EST on the 11th of December, 1969. Carpe Diem. Ever since that moment emplying all five vehicles to propel me on an eternal quest of knowledge exploring with wonder and amazement of what is being revealed to my interpretations, grasping and reaching out to Mom’s gentle touch and cares, giving out to all I can: the self, some love, touch, you and laughter I’ve received. Thank you, and so it goes on and on and on. through bitter, brutal night until the most welcoming break of dawn .
Yet here I am in this moment, sad, stricken with grief at the passing of my Divine Mommy. Unbeknownst to me a few days ago, while I was in the ER at Mission Hospital. I miss you, Mom, I always wanted you to be proud of me. I rest with a knowing gratitude, and confidence that she’s got my back, and my older sister, Leslie, and older brother, Harry, who remain, we are grateful for your diligent, selfless service to the Lord, the community, with drive and indefatigable determination. I HONOR her and emulate her example, my first girl, role model and love of my life.
