Daydreams

Written on Summer Solstice

by Emily

Dreaming of today

    Awake

awareness

Of sound

Around and around

The ground beneath

My feet

Heartbeat

I dance

My stance

On remembering

What could have been.

I was told many years ago that we are dreaming always!!!

It has taken many years for me to realize and understand what that means actually.

The other idea is that one dreams what will come to be in life. . .

It took even longer to understand this and going through life, this is very true and was amazing to see, know and feel it come into my daily life. What an amazing life, thank you great spirit for the realization.

Summer time and the living is easy.

Daydream believing in a

place where facts still matter

matter of fact, I still believe

in matter.

I’m no good at chitter-chatter

Daydreams of a home. A home

where accountability isn’t

performative where groupthink

isn’t the narrative where

doing work isn’t an

illusion - I daydream

about a place where I

can daydream about

daydreaming about summertime

when the living is easy

daydreaming about summertime

when the living is easy.

The day is long 7 miles

The crupuscular time awaits the

coming of night.

The fall of the day heralds the

coming dark

The rain falls not concerned

about darker light

Deep sea creatures see with

bioluminescent sight.

Do they daydream? During the night!

I had a dream I was a fish

in a pond dreaming I was living as a man.

If this is all a dream, why do

my feet hurt.
